We are committed to inspiring a connection with mother nature.
We continually challenge ourselves to find new and eco-friendly ways of designing surf products.
We hope to serve as good stewards in the industry setting a positive example, and inspiring others to take action.

Our products are made of textile waste, recaptured plastics and manufacturer defects that would have ended up in our landfills and ocean.
The waste is sorted by color, deconstructed, re-fibered and spun it into new recycled yarn.
This allows us to produce GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified textiles without dyes, chemicals, virgin cotton, fresh water or new plastics.
We turn these recycled textiles into surfboard protection, while saving significant amounts of plastic, carbon emissions, and fresh water.

We are driven by one simple idea: our impact matters.
Our daily decisions can help minimize our impact and as a collective, we can make greater change.
Supporting sustainable ideas without sacrificing quality.

Surfer Driven

As worshipers of the ocean, we are dedicated to protecting it. Mother nature gives us entertainment and needs to remain awe inspiring for others to indulge in. We understand responsible consumption and production as acknowledging ecological and ethical values in a comprehensive manner, increasing general awareness and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.

WE ASPIRE TO BE BETTER

The textile industry produces 10% of all humanity's carbon emissions, is the second-largest consumer of the world's water supply, and pollutes the oceans with microplastics. In a commitment to giving back to mother nature, we aspire to be better stewards of the environment utilizing repurposed waste for surfboard adventure protection.

OUR GOAL

The goal in launching SHRED required in depth reflection on the production of surfboard board socks. Traditional board socks are made of 100% polyester or nylon (plastics), resulting in harmful chemicals, carbon emissions, microplastics pollution and fresh water impacts. When you think about how much plastic material is required to cover every shortboard, mid-length, egg, fish or longboard - it adds up to a sizeable environmental impact quickly. On average, our products save over 2,129 gallons of fresh water, reduce 11.7 pounds of carbon dioxide per product, remove 1.1 pounds of plastics from nature and require no additional chemicals to be repurposed when compared to traditional board socks. The environmental impact reduction supplied by recycled materials is huge when extrapolated across the entire surfing community. SHRED bags offer stylish sustainability with re-designed, protective functionality.

OUR COMMITMENT

We are committed to reduce our carbon footprints, to battle the impacts of microplastics, to save fresh water for those in need, to manufacture ethically, to bring knowledge to benefits of recycled materials, and to create a stylized design that makes it seamless.

Our production process proudly boasts GRS (Global Recycled Standard), BSCI A-grade (Business Social Compliance Initiative) and SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) certifications.
